The ManBearPig is a strange creature, who has no official name. Janice refers to him as "Bigfoot", and the rest of the Laughingstock crew call him "Gorger" or "Hungry".

Appearance

Nothing is known about him, except that he wears a bear hat, pig mask, and normal human clothing. It is believed that his body is that of a regular human, but is unknown if that also applies for the head.

Unlike the majority of characters in the show being puppets, he is played by a human. Though his appearances are short, they are enough to scare all the characters into simultaneous hysterical screaming.

Notable Episodes

  • In "Percy Plays Piano", the ManBearPig has a brief cameo when he throws big rocks at the Laughingstock crew as they came too close to his home. He lives in the Treasure Cave, and guards the island and treasure within from intruders. This is his only "normal" appearance in the show.
  • In the Irontown version of "The New Ship", the episode cuts to a shot of the woods, where in front of the camera is the ManBearPig. For a while he just stands there, staring at the camera. Suddenly, he runs up to the camera and shifts its position to show a man, tied up in a chair. He goes over to the man, and starts threatening him with a knife before he begins to stab and cut the man. The episode then cuts to black.
  • In the alternative version of "The New Ship", Poppy relives his memories of his first interaction with the Skin-Taker. He donned the ManBearPig's mask, tied the Skin-Taker to a chair and removed his skin, to avenge all those who had been skinned and killed by him.
  • In the "Screaming Episode", all of the puppets are seen screaming and flailing around violently, as Janice looks on crying. Right before the episode ends, the ManBearPig appears for a split second.

Trivia

  • The name "ManBearPig" is a reference to a character from South Park, as he also has the traits of all three creatures. The name stuck and spread, and is used by the majority of fans when referring to the Candle Cove creature.
  • It is believed that the ManBearPig could actually be Emerson Grimes in disguise, or at least related to him in some way.
  • In the photograph, there is a white dress visible on the laundry line,. This dress was worn by Louis Cuttingham, the actress who first played Janice, in a clip shown after the pilot episode when she addressed the crowd. Right next to the dress is Horace Horrible's hook.
